ノートPCにCentOS 6.2(64bit)を入れて色々していたら起動の途中で停止するようになりましたorz
そんな場合の対処法を調べたのでメモ
1.CentOS 6の場合、起動画面がGUI
起動すると5までの場合は[]等と文字で表示されていたのが6からはグラフィカルになり、画面の下にバーのようなもので表示されます。起動中に矢印キーの｢←｣を押すと、5のような文字で表示される画面に一時的になります。
2.シングルモードで起動
PCを起動し、grubの画面で→→末尾に｢single｣と追加→bで起動

CentOS (2.6.32-220.el6.x86_64)を選択後[e]を押し編集
GNU GRUB Version 0.97(630K ... ┌--------------------------------------- │root (hd0,4) │kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.32-220.el6.x86 │initrd /initramfs-2.6.32-220.el6.x86 └---------------------------------------
kernelの行を選んで[e]で編集
[ Minimal BASH-like line editind is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completetions. Anywhere else TAB lists the possible at any time accepts your changes.] < rd_LVM_LV=VolGroup00/LogVol01 rd_NO_DM
末尾に｢single｣を追加

Enterで確定

[b]を押すとsingleモードで起動
/etc/inittabのid:3:initdefaultを5に変えて再起動したら、起動の途中で止まって焦った^^;
シングルモードを知っていればエラーが起こっても少し安心なので、メモメモ。
