Arduino用のシールドをつけたら使えるようになる？
The Arduino extension boards (called shields) are programmed using the open source Wiring programming framework for microcontrollers. To ensure developers can easily add off-the-shelf Arduino shields on top of their Intel Galileo board running the preview Windows image from the devkit, MS Open Tech is open sourcing the Windows implementation of the Wiring API set that ships with the preview image
シールドがガリレオ専用なのか、Arudino Uno R3などでも動くかは不明ですがシールドで提供されるようです。

とあるので、開発にインテル ガリレオを使うんじゃないでしょうか？
まだ確定情報かどうかはわかりませんが、Windows上のVisual Studioで開発したプログラムがインテル ガリレオなどで動くようになるのかもしれません。ラズベリーパイもコンピューティングモジュールを出したりと、動きが活発ですね！
惜しいのは、インテル ガリレオが5月の電源リコール問題のため、7月現在日本でほとんど買えなさそうなところが^^;
Amazon見ると14000円とか。
ガリレオ2が出たら状況変わるんだろうか
